Ascending Wagner, echoes of Mahler, the influence of Ravel. It goes well beyond the realist label, music, pale and feverish, perhaps the title alone executed by Pietro Mascagni, the short opera in two acts Amica, which will be staged from tomorrow Tuesday 7 to Sunday, October 12, for six performances. This is the reading suggested by Anthony Fogliani, one of the youngest Italian masters, who will head the occasion, the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro dell'Opera. The tragic passion of love of its protagonist, a pastoral setting, it returns to a place where it already sounded as far back as May 13, 1905, when it was performed for the first time in the Italian version, with the author himself on the podium. It is now being proposed in the original language (French) with translation sovratitolata. The new production is a coproduction with the Opera of Monte Carlo and the Teatro Carlo Goldoni of Livorno.
The choir was prepared by Andrea Giorgi. The Director of the Opera he directed Jean Louis Grinda, Rudy Sabounghi scenes, Teresa Acone costumes, Laurent Castaingt the lighting design. Eight entries in the cast. The soprano Amaryllis Nice, just applauded as Butterfly in the summer at the Baths of Caracalla, interprets Amica Orciani alternating with Patrick. The Spaniard Enrique Ferrer Maurizio Comencini and assume the roles of George, the man who would marry the girl, Alberto Mastromarino, and those of vetch Angelo Rinaldo, in which the troubled heroine is given instead to flee, before rushing into a ravine. Marcello Lippi is in love with Magdalena Padron Camoin which gives voice Lucia Mastromarino.
Here are the details of the six events: Tuesday, 7 to 20:30 (session A), Wednesday, 8 (session B) and Thursday, 9 (C round) and Friday 10 (non-subscription) in the same time, Saturday 11 to 18 (shift D) and Sunday 12 to 17 (and round).
